Reformer Pilates FAQs
Answering your Reformer Pilates Frequently Asked Questions.
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a full-body, low-impact exercise method performed on a machine called a reformer. It uses springs and resistance to challenge your strength, control, and mobility - helping you move more efficiently, with better posture and alignment.
I’ve never done Pilates before - is this suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Our Beginner and Gentle classes are designed specifically for those new to Pilates or returning after time away. You’ll be guided clearly through each movement, with options to progress at your own pace.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable, fitted clothing you can move freely in. Avoid anything too loose, as it can get caught in the reformer. Grip socks are essential - they help with stability and hygiene. If you don’t have any, we have some available to purchase in the studio.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and your grip socks. All equipment is provided, and we’ll take care of cleaning and setup. You’re welcome to bring water and a towel if you like.
How do I book a class?
You can view our live timetable and book directly through our website on the Timetable & Classes page. Choose your class, select a time, and follow the steps to confirm your spot.
How often should I come to see results?
Consistency is key. Many clients feel benefits after just a few sessions, but coming 1–3 times per week is ideal to build strength, awareness, and long-term change.
Is Reformer Pilates safe during pregnancy or postpartum?
Yes - we offer Pre/Postnatal classes specifically designed to support your body through pregnancy and recovery. These sessions are taught by instructors trained in pre/postnatal care and are safe, gentle and strengthening.
